    • Applicants who have previously earned a Master’s degree or higher.
    • Applicants who have previously passed the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam; 和/或

The program contains 7 core classes and 3 graduate business electives for a total 30学时(10门课程).

Most prerequisites are met by 学生 with a BSBA in accounting; however, the MPA program does not require an undergraduate degree in accounting. 没有考试的学生 undergraduate degree in accounting must meet additional undergraduate business and accounting prerequisites requirements, before beginning the program.

Students may enter the MPA program at any time – summer, fall or spring.

Graduate Assistantship positions, available to MPA 学生 on a competitive basis, can waive up to the full cost of tuition and provide a monthly stipend for qualifying 学生. In addition, scholarships may be available to MPA 学生 through The Southern 小姐基金会. 学生也可以申请经济援助.

MPA 学生 are eligible to become members of the superior, award-winning Beta Alpha Psi chapter at Southern Miss, an honorary organization for financial information 学生 和专业人士. α Psi regularly hosts a wide variety of speakers at its meetings and provides numerous opportunities for 学生 to develop professionally 与会计专业人士建立联系.
